The Importance of Networking for Authors

Last week I had the chance to participate in a workshop given by local author, speaker and trainer, Lynn McDonald at Sarasota News and Books. Among the writers and authors were Patricia McCroy and Andrea. The evening proved to be a one in which writers as well as authors discussed ways to better market their books. Lynn shared with us very useful ideas on the issue of promoting your book before is released and how to have your book published for free by finding someone to sponsor or endorse it. We have discussed many of these issues on our Author's Forum and continue to bring up new techniques and ideas to implement in our campaigns.

Wherever you are in the country don't ignore the importance of networking with writers and authors, their experiences could save you a lot of time and money in your own book promotions.

Share with us your experiences while networking in your town or by assisting to writers conventions or workshops. Don't forget to bring with you a small stack of your business cards to pass around to those who attend.
